Adoptables
Adoptables are small images, that can be placed in forum signatures, on personal websites, or displayed anywhere that allows the use of HTML or BBCode.
Valenth's gameplay revolves around adopting and raising animals and monsters native to the world of Valenth in the form of adoptables. There are hundreds of creatures available to collect, from normal animals to mythological creatures, robots, unique monsters, and more!
Valenth's adoptables take the form of images that are exactly 110 pixels wide by 110 pixels high.
Each adoptable image displays the creature, its name, its level, and its gender. "Frozen" adoptables will display a special symbol to show that they have been affected by the use of an Alchemy Stone.
Certain adoptable species will display special tags of their own, such as the Limited-edition "L" or the Retired "R".
Life Stages of an Adoptable: Alpha
The alpha stage is the first stage of an adoptable's life cycle; all adoptables are created as alphas, which generally take the form of a specimen tank.
Adoptables remain in the alpha stage until they reach level 100, at which point they progress to the beta stage.
Life Stages of an Adoptable: Beta
The beta stage is the second stage of an adoptable's development; beta stage adoptables generally take the form of a young creature.
Beta adoptables mature to the omega stage at level 350.
Life Stages of an Adoptable: Omega
The omega stage is the final stage of an adoptable's development. Omega stage adoptables generally resemble adult creatures.
Every adoptable has three different omega stages, many with vital and tainted omega forms that vary wildly from their natural counterparts. The form an omega adoptable displays is determined by its mood.
Availability
Normal and Limited adoptables are made available according to events depicted in the site's storyline, and the normal adoptables are cycled through fairly regularly. Special adoptables become available as certain conditions are met, while adoptables based on common, pet-type animals can be found for sale in the Pet Shop.
Special Cash Shop adoptables are also made available on a monthly basis.
