This affects all species, including normal, [[Limited]] Edition, Seasonal, [[Promotional]], and [[http://www.valenth.com/lore/CashShop Cash Shop]] adoptables; the [[Prrb Pandaprrb]] and [[LabGremlin Lab-Gremlin]] species are the only exceptions, as both species of adoptable already exist in several colors.

Alts may come in up to three seperate color schemes per adoptable; for example, the Flarion has two alt sets, one golden with red accents, the other white with blue accents.

The exact chance of finding an alt has not been revealed, though it is said to be lower than **1:10**, but higher than **1:1000**.
