Amol
Referred to as the "terror of Soril", the amol are a species of heavily-armored humanoid native to the desert regions of Lucsus. Precious little is known about these irritable creatures beyond the fact that, when they appear, they are horrifyingly brutal.
Measuring an average of eight feet at the shoulder, Amol are powerfully muscled creatures with claws that can easily be several feet long. Their claws are capable of carving through even the tough, scaled flesh of a dragon; only rock is sufficient to halt their progress.
They tunnel beneath the sands in large groups, dragging their victims beneath the surface to be torn to pieces and devoured.
Chimaera travelling through Lucsus' many deserts make their schedules and drive their entourages through the sands in the hope that they have figured out the method and timing necessary to avoid the wrath of these creatures.
Those who fail will not survive the journey.
