Awaken
Artificially-created supernatural powers and mutants do not innately understand their new physiology or abilities; many take months, years, or even centuries to finally grasp the changes that have taken place in them, or discover their full capabilities.
This process, and the resulting personal enlightenment is referred to as Awakening.
Other, more experienced supernatural or Immortal creatures may assist a new supernatural in finding themselves, but in most cases, it takes a traumatic or powerful event to startle such creatures into realizing their potential.
