Beast-God
The Beast-Gods are massive, sapient, ancient animals found throughout Valenth. The Beast-Gods are not to be confused with the similar behemoths.
They often have special abilities and magical powers relevant to their purpose (Aqk's wind mastery, for example).
Once worshipped and revered as true gods by the ancient Aeneski and Silisk, it is now believed that there may have been greater powers in play-- a secret they have apparently worked hard to keep.
Beast-Gods often serve a specific purpose, or represent a particular element; for example, Sasha, the bear, was the guardian of an ancient, Fatis Mirajin-like crystal, while Dilndrou, the alligator, was the creator of the practice of Alchemy.
