Chimaera
The chimaera are a species of natural shapeshifters, possessing both humanoid and monstrous forms.
Humanoid-form chimaera resemble sturdily-built Aeneski with cat-like faces, sharp fangs and dragon-like tails. Their bodies are covered in smooth, fine scales, and and tightly-curled horns adorn their heads.
Monster-form chimaera resemble a cross between a lion and a dragon, with large, bat-like wings and ears. Both sexes possess manes, though males are often stockier and less agile. Chimaera come in all colors, and inherit their coloration from their parents.
Many chimaera make their living as shopkeepers and tradespeople; their clever minds and fondness for wealth has lead to the founding of the Sorilian Trade Empire, which encompasses all Sorilian chimaera merchants.
Less trade-minded chimaera are known for hiring themselves out as mercenaries or soldiers for private militia.
The Sunset Tigers are a tribe of nomadic sand pirates native to the Jagged Rocks desert in southern Lucsus.
They often attack groups and zeppelins going through the area, slaying their victims for the sheer sport of it and stealing goods for their own use, or for sale in desert markets.
The Soril Trade Empire loathes them, and often offers sizable rewards for the heads of Sunset Tiger clan members.
