Being the site Administrator (and a lot of other things-- see above!) , I get a lot of repeat questions about various things, from customer service and world lore to art advice and techniques!

I have a limited amount of time to answer messages with all the stuff I have to do around the site, so this FAQ might be able to help you get the answers you need, or determine the best way to get help onsite-- please give it a look before you send me a message! :)

As a rule of thumb, if you require a service that can be performed by any mod or admin, send a help ticket instead!

Can you help me with missing CSC?

Yes! Make a help ticket-- and include your order number and the amount of CSC you purchased. :)

Can you change my username for me?

At the moment, we're working on something that will automate name changes, so please hang tight a bit; manual change requests were getting overwhelming and interrupting the rest of my work!

Can you update my email address?

Please make a help ticket with your current registerred email for verification, along with the new one you'd like it changed to. This is a function we'll be implementing in the profile soon!

Can you delete or lock this post for me?

We don't delete user posts by request, but any moderator will be happy to lock it for you!

My pet was deleted. Help!

Make sure you have the Snaplinks addon disabled; we have lots of instances in which people using this for mass feedings accidentally select one or more of their adoptables' delete links with it.

Snaplinks bypasses our deletion confirmation scripts; therefore, using it here is currently at-your-own-risk, and we cannot restore adoptables deleted as a result. Sorry about that!

If you don't use Snaplinks, we may be able to restore a deleted pet for you; make a help ticket and ask!

Can you delete my account?

We don't currently delete accounts by request, as someone getting into your account unauthorized could easily destroy everything!

We are working on a feature that allows you to manually freeze and deactivate accounts, which we'll then delete in waves.

Something on the site is broken! Can you fix it, please?

Maybe--it depends!

If it's a broken image, typo, naming, item value or pricing error, I can fix it (usually quite easily, with a few possible exceptions); send a help ticket and let me know!

If it's coding-related (site mechanics and functions), I can't do anything about that personally.
If you make a post in the Problems and Bugs forum, or send a ticket about the issue, our resident programmer will be happy to take care of it as soon as he can!

Make sure to be as descriptive about the issue as you can, and include any errors the site gives you, if possible; SQL errors are really helpful for debugging purposes!

I was/my friend was banned! Can you tell me why or unban them/me?

If you (or your friend) were banned, you (or they) will see the ban reason when you access the site.

We do not discuss bans with anyone but the person in question, nor do we discuss bans offsite to help keep documentation of all discussions and rulings.
In the interests in being as fair as possible to our entire userbase, we will only consider unbanning if the ban was made in error.

The best way to avoid this situation is to familiarize yourself with our site rules in advance.
If you don't understand anything, a moderator or myself would be delighted to help!

Can you tell me more about Valenth/ how you create your artwork or music?

Sure (as long as it's not a spoiler, in the case of Valenth)!

If you have any questions about the world, species, or characters, worldbuilding in general, the programs and techniques I use, or anything else that I do for Valenth, feel free to shoot me a line and I'll answer as best as I'm able, whenever I have a chance to sit down! :)

At the moment, Valenth has a very very small staff!
When we have openings for positions, we'll make a news post to let everyone know what we're looking for, our terms, and whether it'd be volunteer or paid.

Where can I find more of your artwork?

Right now, you can find fullsizes and other works of mine on Tumblr!
I'm not currently keeping any other galleries up to date, since I'm working on refining a lot of things behind the scenes. Someday, I'll have a personal gallery/site up-- but not yet. :O

Do you bite?

Noooooooooo. :) (Not unless you're sentient food, anyway-- then, all bets are off!)

If there's anything you'd like to know that I haven't covered here, feel free to ask in a PM or comment.
I spend as much of my worktime offsite as I do on it, so be sure to give me a little bit to get your message and think about my response! I prioritize important stuff like customer service first, so general inquiries may take a while longer, especially when I've got a particularly heavy workload (most of the work I do for Valenth happens behind the scenes!).

Also, be aware that although I'm east-coast US based, I work bizarre hours and fluid shifts, and I don't work weekends (for my health)!

If you send me correspondance between Friday evening to Monday morning (EST), it might take me a little bit to get back to you. I often have a slight backlog on Mondays when I get back to work!
