Drake
Drakes are reptilian beasts that are distantly related to dragons; despite the superficial resemblance, they are neither magical nor intelligent.
Land-drakes are large drakes, often tamed and trained to serve as mounts and pack animals by the Anshe Aeneski. Unless properly tamed, they can be quite unruly.
The brush-drake is a much smaller species than the land-drake. The tiny, brightly-coloured brush-drakes are native to the scrublands of Aensdoun, and feed upon insects and other small animals.
They are known to use the fin-like wings on their hips in displays.
