**House Skindog** is a family of soft-skinned (scaleless), short-tailed leupaks.
They breed and keep short-haired dogs as companions, guard, and work animals; their dogs are some of the best-known breeds in [[Chimre]] and Dreamsong, including the popular [[Lapsgrande]] hound.
Members are often heavily pierced (brows, nostrils, lips, ears, tails) or tattooed.

It is considered an irrevocable insult to leave a dog's corpse at the entrance of a Skindog's home; this practice has led to [[House]] wars in the past.
