Lassenbhurg is an enormous and colorful city placed neatly between the two elemental extremes of the continent of Liasse.
Home to the Academy of Arcana, hundreds of factionless mages and researchers and their friends and family as well as to friendly elementals who have come to love the people there, Lassenbhurg has a culture and society to rival that of Gier, knowledge on par with that of Jetersborough, and enough military might to earn the grudging respect of the chimaera of Soril.
The people of Lassenbhurg are exceptionally friendly-- in part because fascinating things are much more likely to consent to examination if first made to feel welcome (an attitude that the people of Chimre applaud vigorously).
All peoples (and even non-peoples, if they take care to behave, or at least not soil the magic carpet) are welcome with open arms, provided they don't mind potentially being harassed for days on end by the city's ever-curious populace.
