Chapter VII - Genetic Perfection!

The Mutations Master List

"Limits? They have none, truly. I think "fire", and a towering beast with skin like cooling magma appears, or one with the breath of dragons, or one that is, frighteningly, literally aflame. I think "eclipse", and a matte, black leupak with eyes like twin suns steps into being.
But I can't control it entirely. I just begin the chain reaction... the crystal does the rest."

Bastion's eyes lit up at once.
"Why haven't you thought "bear" yet, then?"

Barring occasional laws of physics, the imagination is the only limit to the number of possibilities leupaks possess.
Capable of representing almost any concept in flesh and blood, in addition to producing considerable likenesses of other living creatures and beings (to a point), leupaks are versatility to a near-ridiculous extreme.

This list of mutations is a mere sampling of possibilities; creators are enouraged to customize, tweak, and ultimately make them their own.

Bonus - Leupak Creation Guidesheet

Now that you know the basics, you're ready to start designing your own leupaks!

This guidesheet will help you gather and organize the necessary information; just visit the provided sections below, follow their instructions and fill in the blanks, then take your finished leupak to The Hatchery for posting!

Note that this guidesheet doesn't cover turning your leupak into a RP character, simply designing one.
If you're interested in playing it in canon RP, see the proper forum area for more information!

The Leupak Creation Guidesheet

Name:
Section Notes: A leupak's name can be a common name, a name based on its creation concept, a name given due to circumstances in its life, or even a codename in the case of lab-made leupaks!

The Facet
Concept:
Facet Type: (Click for Options)
Facet Power: (Click for Options)
Section Notes: These three sections should all fit together. The concept is the idea that your leupak is based on; it can be as simple as a color, or as complex as a specific object, creature, place, and so on. The leupak's facet power should be tied directly into its personal concept somehow.

Cosmetic Basics
Size:
Section Notes: Size ranges are based on size at adulthood--
Small (up to 4'/1.2m long, snout to tailtip), Medium ( up to 6'/1.8 long), Average (up to 11'/3.3m long), Large (up to 16'/4.8m long), Huge (over 16'/4.8m long)

Extra Accent Colors (Claws, Pawpads, Spines, Eartips, etc):
Section Notes: Leupak color and pattern possibilities are unlimited; use your leupak's concept for ideas!)
Ornaments: (Click for Options)

Mutations
Section Notes: Mutations are the unique genetic traits that set leupaks apart from their peers.
The same mutation may look very different on two different leupaks; use the descriptions in the Mutations section as guidelines, and try to fit them to enhance your leupak's concept!

Don't be afraid to modify a mutation's effect or appearance slightly to fit your leupak more perfectly if necessary!
