Lilendril and Gardenioare two nymphs who tend and guard the expansive gardens of the Cathedral of a Thousand Roses, as well as serving as doormen.
Lilendril is aloof and disapproving of most "common" creatures, and has little patience for mortal affairs.
He wishes only to be left to tend the gardens in peace-- and without being made to enter the Cathedral proper, as being away from the sunlight causes him a great deal of anxiety.
He looks upon Gardenio with a great deal of disdain; much to his annoyance, however, the other nymph seems all but immune to his bitter moods.
