Pricklepigs are small, insectivorous mammals native to [[Dreamsong]] and [[Chimre]].

They are shy, nocturnal creatures resembling chubby shrews with thick coats of sharp quills. A pricklepig's main method of defense is to curl up, hiding its vulnerable body beneath its spines and rolling away from perceived threats.

Pricklepigs can be tamed and kept as pets, though they never quite overcome their shy natures and are frequently startled by loud noises and sudden movements.
