Salamander
Salamanders are fire-based, monstrous humanoid Elementals native to the northern edge of Liasse.
They stand from 7 to 11 feet in height with segmented, serpentine lower bodies, scaly limbs, and smooth, blunted heads with six circular red-yellow eyes that burn like molten lava.
They are intelligent, even sapient, but aggressive-- when they come to the surface, they tend to clash with the more sociable Djinn on sight.
Some scholars consider salamanders distant, subterranean relatives of the Naga.
