Sasha is the Guardian of the Grove-- created years ago by an ancient civilization to protect an artifact of great power.
He has performed this task exceedingly well over the centuries; hidden away deep in Aensdoun, nothing approaches the grove without his knowledge, and nothing enters it alive unless he sees reason for it to do so-- his lone remainingSpeaker was the first to do so in thousands of years.
Only once did anyone nearly succeed in killing him and entering the grove; Voghn's unexpected attack which ended in the bear's injury, and the wolf's ultimate demise.
Sasha's long-time friend Dilndrou found the bear after the battle, nursing his wounds with Alchemy and ensuring his survival.
