The Story

Our story begins thousands of years ago, deep within the heart of Aensdoun-- when Aensdoun and Dreamsong were whole.

In those days, the land belonged to the elves-- the Aeneski-- and much like their smallfae cousins, the Anshe tribes battled constantly amongst themselves to seize and defend territory throughout the continent.

Amongst them, a young alchemist created a stone, well-known among his trade, meant to aid in the transformation of the ordinary into the amazing.

That stone became known as the Fatis Mirajin; a Philosopher's Stone with a dangerous flaw.
As was intended, it transformed common elements and ingredients into magical potions, elixirs and materials.

Unexpectedly, it began to affect everything else around it, as well, including the alchemist, his two closest companions, their village...

...and eventually the entire known world!

Now, four powerful Factions struggle for dominance in a world ruled by science and magic...
and Valenth's ultimate fate rests in the hands of the victors, for better or worse!

The Website

Welcome to Valenth, a mad science, steampunk, and fantasy-themed Adoptables site with a rich setting, an ongoing story, and many more features to come!

Adoptables are small, usually transparent graphics made to display in forum signatures or on your personal websites for decoration. There are many sites you can get them from; Valenth is only one of them.

All of our adoptables but certain Cash Shop adoptables are FREE to adopt; it's simple and easy to register an account, and you can pick up a few new companions as soon as you do!

You can then take part in the entire website, raising your adoptables, feeding adoptables to earn krüs and accessories to use on your adoptables, and even collect rare species you can't get any other way!

A Note Regarding Content

While many adoptable sites are geared towards younger audiences, Valenth is better-suited towards teens and up; more mature themes such as violence, morality, alternate sexuality and drug use may appear in Valenth's storylines and settings, along with occasional strong language.

For this reason, we ask that parents first look at the site and determine whether they find it suitable for their younger children.

We adopt a PG-13 rating and stance for our website, and moderate all forums content to adhere to it as well.

The Planet

Demonym: Valenthian

Valenth is a mid-sized planet in the Twin Dancers planetary system.
It has a small, black moon--Chira, "little bat"-- and two suns, from which the system draws its name; tiny, yellow Ciere, and the much larger, blue Degregorius.

Life on Valenth varies widely, from common animals and intelligent humanoid races, to more fantastic creatures such as Faeries, Dragons, wandering spirits and Elementals.

As a whole, the world is a great mash of natural forces, powerful magics, and all manner of steam-science contraptions.

Valenth's prevalent races are often divided regionally; the fastest species to evolve and develop socially tend to spread across an area and eventually claim it as their own.
Whether higher powers truly exist is up for debate-- in all recorded cases to date, revered "deities" are often corporeal beings in some form or another, such as powerful dragons, Beast-Gods, or Chapters, for example, though many would argue that these sources are still greatly influential upon their followers (see Religion).

For this reason, large, organized groups and their leaders-- known as Factions-- collectively hold more power over the known world than any other source.
