Viadante
Viadante, also known colloquially as "nightstalkers", are the bat-like, immortal lords of the dark.
Viadante are demons that feed on mortal souls, and make every move with a flourish and a noble air. Viadante often discreetly rule areas of a city through their vampire minions; they may believe themselves rulers of a domain as much as their underlings do, but only the shadows that play behind them know the truth.
Many viadante employ small bands of vampires and gargoyles to hunt for them, devouring a victim's soul while the lesser creatures sup on the blood and flesh.
Rumor states that a vampire is born of a viadante's cursed kiss-- as the soul of a victim withers away, the viadante's dark magic may flow in to fill the emptiness left behind.
